Our commitment

Allure Dental Arts is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all of our patients — current and future — should be able to find information, request an appointment, and learn about our services without barriers.

We work to meet the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA), which cover a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks across every page
• Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements
• A "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page
• Text contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components)
• Image alt text for every image that carries meaning
• Form labels associated with every input, plus clear error messages
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion system setting
• Automated accessibility testing (axe-core and pa11y) on every release

Standards we follow

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Where appropriate, we also follow patterns from the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices for interactive components like menus and accordions.

Known limitations

Some embedded third-party content — most notably the Google Maps iframe on our contact and home pages — is outside our direct control. Google publishes their own accessibility statement for the Maps embed. The full address of our office is also provided in plain text on every page that includes the map so the information is available regardless.
